Nexans Armored Cable CU/XLPE/CWS/LSZH/AWA/LSZH – 6.35/11 kV

Nexans CU/XLPE/CWS/LSZH/AWA/LSZH 6.35/11 kV medium voltage armored cables are designed for high reliability and mechanical durability. The cable is manufactured with solid copper conductor, XLPE insulation, copper screen (CWS), aluminum wire armor (AWA) and LSZH (halogen free, low smoke) sheath. The outer diameter is 34 mm, the weight is about 2250 kg/km. The current carrying capacity of the cable is 500 A (horizontal), 417 A (delta) in air, and 332 A (horizontal) and 323 A (delta) in the ground. Conductor resistance at 20 °C is 0.153 Ω/km. During a short circuit, the conductor shows a continuity of 17.2 kA, and the screen shows a continuity of 2.17–3.25 kA. Operating temperature -20...+90 °C, maximum conductor temperature in short circuit is 250 °C. Cable IEC 60332-3 Cat. C flame retardant meets IEC 61034 low smoke and IEC 60754-2 low corrosion standards.
