Nexans Armored Cable CU/XLPE/CTS/LSZH/AWA/MDPE – 1x185 mm², 12.7/22 kV

Nexans CU/XLPE/CTS/LSZH/AWA/MDPE 1x185 mm², 12.7/22 kV medium voltage armored cable is designed for high reliability and durability in industrial and infrastructure projects. The cable is made with copper conductor, semi-conductor layer, XLPE insulation, copper screen (CTS), LSZH separation sheath, aluminum wire armor (AWA) and MDPE outer sheath. Its outer diameter is 40 mm and its weight is about 3000 kg/km. Conductor DC resistance at 20 °C is 0.099 Ω/km. The current carrying capacity of the cable is 637 A (horizontal), 543 A (delta) in air, and 410 A (horizontal) and 406 A (delta) in the ground. The phase capacitance is 0.27 µF/km, and the inductance is 0.56 mH/km (horizontal) and 0.37 mH/km (delta). During a short circuit, the conductor shows a continuity of 26.5 kA, and the screen shows a continuity of 0.96 kA. Operating temperature -20...+90 °C, maximum conductor temperature during short circuit is 250 °C. The cable complies with IEC 60332-1-2 flame retardant standard.
